I'm feeling a little behind! I've been admiring everyone's classroom pics for the past couple of weeks. I finally got into my classroom on Monday, and after 3 full days of working on it, it's done. Well, almost done anyway!!!
I also figured out how to put a slideshow in a post:
If you viewed my pics, you may have noticed a board with ribbons. This brilliant idea came from Step Into 2nd Grade with Mrs. Lemons. She used this idea for AR. I will be using it to celebrate the number of books my students complete throughout the year. This board is a work in progress. First, I need to add my students names when I get my class list next week. Plus, it's also missing a clever and creative title. Any suggestions??? Pretty Please???
Wow! You're classroom looks great! And only 3 days! Very impressed. I went in today for about 5 hours and only put up the fabric on my 5 bulletin boards :( I just like to sit and think . . . . slowly :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks awesome!!! LOVE your color scheme!!! It's calming and soothing and everything matches!! It looks great! I'm jealous of all your wall space!! Love your ribbons...love you paisley b. board stuff!! Just love, love, love!!

Looks like you're about ready for kids. Where did you get the stools for the listening center?

Rebecca, your room looks beautiful! How about a title along the lines of "Collecting Memories and AR Points". Your room has a relaxing, scrapbooky-making-memories-kinda-vibe.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous that your room is done! I've been at school all summer, but been so busy with other technology needs that my classroom has not been done! I wish I could wave my Harry Potter wand and have it done! Your room looks great. Love the color palette. Two thoughts come to mind for your board - "Ribbons for Reading", or "Reading makes everyone a winner!"
ReplyDeleteOooh, just thought of another one! "Everyone's a winner when they read!", kind of a spin off the last one I thought of.
ReplyDeleteDoes it need a Title, what about a reading quote.... or Our Reading Board ..Or Get Caught Reading ..then take pics of the kids reading and put up around the top...Or even Got Books???
ReplyDeleteSorry lack of sleep (reading my favorite subject and I am at loss..LOL)
love it! Simple yet beautiful. My wonderful teamie had those paisley wallies on my table for me when I went in. Cute! I'm thinking on a title...
ReplyDeleteWOW! Your room looks GORGEOUS!!

The room looks great! I'm jealous that it only took you 3 days! Maybe I missed this in an earlier post but I'm curious, what is the bulletin board with the ribbons/strips hanging down?

"Tying it all together"
ReplyDeleteI am super jealous of your room. It's simple and doesn't look cluttered but the common color scheme makes it look like it all goes together.
Your room looks AMAZING!! I am so jealous of how creative and neat your room looks!
ReplyDeleteI jus love your class and want to be in it! I think a quote would be great:-
ReplyDelete"There is more treasure in books than in all the pirates' loot on Treasure Island and at the bottom of the Spanish Main ... and best of all, you can enjoy these riches every day of your life." Hope this helps!Rambling About Reading
Your room is so pretty! I love it! I think a quote would be cool too or maybe different titles of books that you've read to the kids.

Your room looks fabulous! I love the colors and the organization, really just everything. I am not quite sure of what a good title would be, you have several great suggestions from other followers. If I think of anything I will be sure to repost and let you know.

Wow! What a great room! It is so spacious and you have so much wall space. Very jealous. You did a great job with it.
ReplyDeleteNo great ideas for titles. My first ideas was FLY AWAY WITH A GOOD BOOK because I thought they kind of looked like kites...but then I thought of WE ARE TIED TO GOOD BOOKS.
Sorry, my brain is kind of depleted this close to school starting. :)

I love the color coordination! So cute! And, I love that all of your baskets match - is that totally nerdy of me? I just bought all new baskets for my library because I ran out of the ones I was using and can't find them anywhere. So, all new ones so they all match! Definitely nerdy.
ReplyDeleteYour room looks adorable!!! I love the flowers on the wall! I love a matchy matchy classroom! It all looks so great and organized! Our carpets haven't even been cleaned yet... ugh! I'm just jealous!
ReplyDeleteHow about "ARen't we great readers?"... or something to that effect?
ReplyDeleteYour room looks amazing!! Great job :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Everything looks fantastic! What about putting that quote from Dr. Seuss: The more you read, the more you know! Something like that...since they are reading more and more for their ribbons??? Just an idea.

Your room looks adorable! It's so bright and organized... I love it!
ReplyDeleteYour room looks terrific! Very well organized and inviting! When I saw your ribbons I kept thinking about wrapping presents. "Wrapping up a Good Book" or "Check Out How Many Books We've Wrapped" ...well you get the idea. I'm sure you will come up with a very catchy heading. Thanks for sharing.

Your room is gorgeous. When I saw the ribbons I immediately thought of those trading pin lanyards from Disney. You could say "Trade a Good Book" and have kids create book pins from bottle caps (water bottle caps are easy to collect).

ReplyDeleteI can't get the pics of your room to come up. I believe I am using the same theme so I was wanting to get some ideas. Is there anywhere else I an go to see your pics?
ReplyDeleteLove the room. I wanted to know where did you get your table top pocket chart and does it have a dry erase board attached to it? It's green and in the picture of your supplies. Thanks.
